Have you ever experienced the frustration of breaking the beak on your bird carving? If the answer is yes, then this video is for you! In this lesson, Josh covers all the details of inserting brass wire into the beak of a bird. The benefit of this method can't be overstated. Not only does it prevent the beak from breaking it also creates a sharp point as you would see on a real bird.

An indigo bunting is used in the demonstration but the principle applies to any smaller beaked wildfowl. Josh also covers strengthening a kestrel's beak. Birds of prey have a much different shape to their beak and need a different application. After studying and applying the contents of this video, you will be able to reinforce any size beak on any species of wildfowl.
